‘Wire Man Cup’ in Iserlohn for the first time: C-junior footballer tournament
The DJK VfK Iserlohn 1888 is hosting the ‘Wire Man Cup’ for the first time. On Saturday (8/8) from 2 pm, teams from the C-Youth compete against each other at the Inceptum Stadium on Seilersee. Group matches take place in the preliminary round – the first two teams of each group qualify for the quarter-finals. From then on it continues in the K.O. system. Teams from Witten, Werdohl, Menden and Iserlohn have registered for the new tournament. Ralf Schriefers, youth leader at the VfK, is pleased about the response: “We wanted to offer the youth another tournament at home. And we did that with a bit of help. ”
The aid comes from Iserlohn in the form of the company H & R GmbH – the-wire-man.com. The Managing Partner Thomas Wolff is involved in various sports clubs. Because his son kicks in the C youth, he naturally has a special relationship with the VfK. H & R – the-wire-man.com sponsors the trophies for the first eight teams and the tournament’s top scorer. The award ceremony takes place immediately after the games.
And the spectators outside the square can win, the first prize in the goal wall shooting are two tickets for the game Schalke – Darmstadt on 22 August.
